About Digitalcourage
Digitalcourage operates a zensurfreier DNS-Server (censorship-free DNS) as part of its digital rights advocacy. The service aims to demonstrate that internet censorship can be bypassed by publicly accessible DNS resolvers, exposing all IP numbers rather than censoring them. It enables encrypted DNS-over-TLS (DoT) connections, does not support DNS-over-HTTP (DoH), and is hosted in a German data center; the project is funded by donations and memberships to maintain the public infrastructure.
